Professional Experience
August 1983 - Present:
- Director of Price Merrett & Associates Pty. Ltd. between 1985 and 2010.
- Cadastral and engineering surveying of large subdivision projects, primary industry developments including managed investment developments with extensive experience in both New South Wales and Victoria.
- Victorian experience includes work for Department of Housing & Office of Survey General in various local municipal authorities, mainly related to cadastral surveying.
- Experienced in levelling tacheometry through involvement in several large irrigation development projects, and a Victorian Supreme Court case involving levels of flooded land resulting from the reconstruction of a main highway. Another large project was the completion of 300 km of detail surveying (in 3 dimensions) for the Northern Mallee Pipeline Scheme for Wimmera Mallee Water.
- Experience has been gained in both Public Service and Commercial fields. This experience covers a wide field from mining surveying through building setouts to cadastral surveying.
- Extensive experience has been gained in the construction industry with major inputs in building control, supervision of subdivisional contractors and associated high accuracy survey and Set-out functions, including computation and pegging of multi lot residential subdivisions and establishment of field control for same. A major project being the Murray Downs development which carried out the initial detail survey, road design and setout. Subdivision of 14 40 Ha lots, fifty residential lots and a golf course. Managed the Survey Control for the road, sewerage, water & gas for this development.
1975 - August 1983:
- Consulting Surveyor with Fisher and Dowell Pty. Ltd., Consulting Surveyors and Engineers in Swan Hill.
1972 - 1975:
- Surveyor with the Melbourne Board of Works and a further period with the Victorian Railways. Experience with the Melbourne Board of Works included cadastral, geodetic and mining surveying (South Eastern Sewer), whilst experience gained with the Victorian Railways was in the cadastral surveying and drafting fields.
